A Bio That Says Something
The moment. You're writing your profile bio and reach for the usual vague lines.
What most people do
Fill it with generic buzzwords - "passionate about innovation, lifelong learner, coffee lover" - that describe nobody.
Why it misfires. Generic gives people no reason to follow or remember you. "Passionate about innovation" is what everyone writes; it says nothing and blends in.
The rewrite
"I write about the messy middle of building products. Ex-designer, now founder. Strong opinions on onboarding and pineapple pizza."
The move: specific over generic. Trade buzzwords for concrete specifics - what you actually do, what you post about, a bit of personality. Specific is what makes someone hit follow.
Your turn
Rewrite your bio with concrete specifics and one bit of personality - no buzzwords.
Edge cases. Say what people will actually get from following you - a clear "I post about X" beats a list of adjectives about yourself.
This week
Rewrite one profile bio to be specific instead of generic.
